WORKING CONDITION: Very Good. This 1176 has just been serviced by one of LA's best techs and sports new and proper electrolytic filter capacitors. The gain reduction is smooth and musical, and the meter is calibrated. The circuit board is clean, and the original transformers are in perfect working condition. This unit provides a sound like no other.

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good. While there is some vintage patina, the rack ears and metalwork are robust, and the overall construction of the chassis is solid. The Pigtail XLR plugs have been installed on the barrier strip for easy installation into any existing studio.

B 1176 Limiting Amplifier. The vintage Universal Audio UREI Blue Stripe Revision B 1176 is a highly coveted FET limiting amplifier released in 1968. It is part of the original "Blue Stripe" family, so named for the blue paint surrounding its VU meter.
