PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a Metasonix TX-2 Butt Probe Vacuum Tube Guitar Effects Pedal. The Metasonix TX-2 Butt Probe is a rare, limited-edition vacuum-tube guitar effects pedal known for producing extreme, chaotic, and unique distortion effects that cannot be replicated by digital alternatives. It was a niche product, with only 100 units ever made.

• Serial # 54 of 100
• Vacuum Tube Technology: The pedal uses three type 4BN6 beam modulator vacuum tubes, originally designed for old TV sets and not intended for audio applications, to create its distinct, non-linear distortion.
• "Fist" and "Ream" Controls: These knobs adjust the screen-grid voltages of the first two tubes, drastically changing the gain and distortion behavior from a mild warmth to a "horrid screaming broken-amp ultra-distortion from HELL".
• Unique Filter Section: A third tube is wired as a "very bad bandpass filter". The filter's center frequency is controlled by a built-in Low-Frequency Oscillator (LFO) with a "SCREW" knob to control the sweep amount.
• CV Input: A 1/4" TS control voltage (CV) input allows for an external control source to sweep the filter, or for the filter to be tuned manually using the SCREW knob if an unassigned plug is inserted.
• Output: It has a stereo audio output (1/4" TRS) with an output level typically >20 dB hotter than the input, so it's not recommended for use with a traditional guitar amp input, but rather with line-level inputs.
