WORKING CONDITION: Excellent. All keys work well, and after checking with a Peterson Strobe Tuner, the tuning of the entire keyboard is spot on. All three voice settings sound great, and the decay knob works, as it should. It was tested with (6) "C" sized batteries - the power supply for this unit is unknown.

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good. There is some yellowing of the white keys, which is normal for a 60-year-old keyboard. All of the keys have very good action and make no mechanical noise.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a Vintage Hohner Bass 2 Keyboard Synthesizer. The Hohner Bass 2 is a rare, monophonic analog bass synthesizer produced in Germany between 1968 and 1974. It is widely considered one of the earliest examples of an all-electric, solid-state keyboard bass. Historical Note: A favorite of vintage keyboard enthusiasts, it was famously used by Ray Manzarek of The Doors in the late 1960s.
