WORKING CONDITION: Excellent. The Bias control operates well, offering many different shades of gain. The EQ is very powerful and compliments the Drive and Output levels extremely well. This is one of the best Tube Driver editions Butler has ever made, and the model all the pros want. 

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Excellent. The metalwork is in excellent shape, and the switch and pots are all in top condition. There are no cosmetic issues with this pedal.

Butler in the late 1970s, it operates on a "starved voltage" circuit design where an op-amp and a low-voltage tube combine to create massive, amp-like non-linear distortion, rich harmonic content, and natural compression. It is famously the secret weapon behind the violin-like lead tones of Eric Johnson and the soaring, dynamic stadium rock solos of David Gilmour.
