WORKING CONDITION: Excellent - All controls and inputs are working nicely, and the amp sounds great! Ready for the stage or studio. 

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good- The cabinet looks vintage, with light aging and relic work done on it, a perfect match for the chassis. Even the genuine leather handle looks nicely aged, but intact and sturdy. The chrome control panel and lettering look clean with no oxidation or pitting, just general abrasions from use.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a 1958 Fender Harvard amp w/ 5F10 Circuit

This is a 1958 Fender Harvard 5F10 amp chassis with a changed output transformer (Bryan Sours Soursound #1839 exact recreation of the original) in a vintage-spec, pine-aged repro cabinet from Will at Armadillo Amp Works in Texas, and a reproduction name badge also.

Comes with a NOS Eminence alnico magnet 8-ohm 35-watt #10601 speaker made in the USA for Mojo Musical Supply in the 1990’s when a guy named Nate Kramer owned it, and is the OEM version of the popular Eminence Legend 1028K speaker no longer made. Features an all-paper vintage-style seamed cone and 6-ounce alnico magnet. (Note that this speaker has a Jensen Sticker on the magnet, put on for the fun of it by the previous owner)

Fender also had the 10” speakers in their ’59 Tweed Bassman Reissue amps back then, but they were painted blue like the original Jensens.

They wouldn’t sell Nate these speakers in Blue because Fender had them under contract, but they could sell him the same speaker in Black and get away with it!

This amp was serviced with new quality Jupiter electrolytic capacitors, a diode, pots/socket/jack cleaning, and a grounded cord with all new NOS American tubes. The original yellow Astron tone and signal caps, as is all the other amp components.

Amp comes with spare NOS 6AT6 tubes so you never run out of these no longer-made tubes.

The Fender 5F10 Harvard is a highly regarded, 10-watt "narrow-panel" tweed tube amplifier produced between 1955 and 1961. Known as a "studio secret weapon," it features a single 10-inch Jensen speaker, fixed bias, and a 6AT6/12AX7 preamp combo that offers more clean headroom and tighter bass than the similar Tweed Deluxe.
