Details
WORKING CONDITION: Excellent. In a word, this amp is brutal. This is not a small, polite amplifier one would use for bedroom recording or coffeehouse gigs. It begs to be opened up through a 4x12 cabinet or cabinet simulator with impulse responses for recording. The EQ is well-tailored throughout the entire span of each knob and the master volume is a welcome tool for taming the beast in all but the largest arenas or stadiums. This is the real deal pre-JCM800 tone machine.
PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good. A few preamp resistors and the bias resistor have been changed, but otherwise stock. The Marshall logo was changed to the smaller, Plexi-era variant. The holes for the large logo are still there, should the buyer choose to switch back to the period-correct larger logo. Both the left and right internal supports inside the box were partially cut for unknown reasons, but are structurally sound. The chassis is in great condition, and all of the pots and switches operate normally. The purple back panel is missing, but all three Drake transformers are original, as are the Daly electrolytic filter capacitors.
One of the four chassis bolts is missing, and one of the nuts on the chassis is stripped.
