WORKING CONDITION: Excellent - This guitar feels and plays wonderfully. Low action and clean notes throughout the neck. It is quite exceptional and feels like a much more expensive guitar. 

The transperfomance system is working very nicely. At the push of a button, the mechanism elegantly adjusts the tuning without hesitation and in perfect tune. It is very inspiring and musical. All of the controls and parameters are easily adjustable. Tonally this guitar sounds incredible as well. In all, everything is fully functional and in excellent working condition. 

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Excellent - This guitar comes equipped with a Transperformance self-tuning system. There are a few scuffs and abrasions around the body of the guitar. A bit of discoloration can be seen on the finish. (see pics) It appears that some of the hardware, including the backplate are Fender parts. The tone knob is not original, however, the original knob is included. Overall, everything is solidly built, intact, and ready for action. Overall, the physical condition is excellent.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a 1980s ESP 400 Series Telecaster Electric Guitar fitted with a Transperformance Tuning System. 

This item comes out of the personal gear arsenal of famed musician and producer, Oliver Leiber. Techno Empire is proud to present this item on his behalf as it comes right out of his Los Angeles Recording studio to yours!

According to Oliver, he bought the ESP from Pete's guitar in St Paul Minnesota somewhere between 1985-87. At some point, he traded it to his friend Jesse Johnson of The Time, who then did the gold hardware mods to it. Then Jesse traded it back to Oliver who installed EMGs into it, which explains the brass plate for the bridge pickup. Then he had the transperformance system installed on it. 

Even with all the mods done to the guitar it has held up incredibly well and is easily one of the nicer playing and feeling guitars we've had come through our shop.
