WORKING CONDITION: Excellent - Works great. Each input and control is working properly. A Steven Fryette mentioned in his evaluation: "It produces the expected bold, in-your-face dynamic response, along with a little faster transition into distortion territory than one would expect of earlier Sound City and later Hiwatt amps.."

Note that this amp is LOADED full of vintage Mullard EL34 Power Tubes and Preamp tubes! 

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good - There are scuffs, abrasions, a few tolex tears, and general wear throughout the amp that one might consider "light" considering its age. Original major components, hardware, tolex and build quality, and beautiful internal wiring that one might consider art in itself.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a very rare 1968 Sound City /Hiwatt Prototype 100W Tube Guitar Amplifier Head. Very likely a one-of-one not to be found anywhere else. This amp comes directly out of the personal amp collection of Matt Bruck, the longtime Eddie Van Halen associate, and a consummate vintage guitar and amp collector and historian.
