Octave Plateau Voyetra Eight 8 Voice Analog Synthesizer w/ VPK-5 Keyboard #50689

Availability: In stock

WORKING CONDITION: Excellent - Works great. All of the controls and parameters are working properly. Each key on the keyboard is responsive as well. The factory patches sound incredible. In all, everything is fully functional and in excellent working condition.

Very Good - This specific version of the Voytra 8 comes with added MIDI ports on the back panel which replace the stock XLR-style jacks that were there originally. Very useful!  There are the expected scuffs and signs of racking on the chassis and light normal use around the keyboard. Everything is very clean with each button, knob, and key perfectly intact. The ATA road case for the keyboard is also covered in stickers. The overall, physical condition is very good.

BRAND: Octave Plateau

MODEL: Voyetra Eight

FUNCTION: Poly Analog Synthesizer

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for an extremely rare Octave Plateau Voyetra Eight 8 Voice Poly Analog Synthesizer with VPK-5 61-Note Keyboard. This is the revered "Rev-4" version with the green circuit boards, tear-drop-style knobs, and MIDI Ports on the back.

This represents the sole known instance of a Voyetra Eight featuring conventional standard MIDI connectors on its rear, as opposed to the exclusive XLR jacks and adapters employed by all other Voyetra Eights. This exceptional configuration allows it to effortlessly and instantly integrate into any studio or stage arrangement.

Furthermore, it should be noted that this synthesizer holds historical significance as the world's first rackmount Synthesizer. It is crafted entirely with discrete analog circuitry, a distinctive feature. Additionally, it boasts the presence of both SSM and CEM filter chips, an exceedingly rare trait within the realm of synthesizers.

The Voyetra 8 has been used by New Order, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, Nine Inch Nails, and Trevor Horn ("Video Killed The Radio Star")

For this listing, the synth was fully serviced by Chaz Labrecque the in-house tech and designer at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions in Santa Monica. Capacitors were checked and replaced if needed, the battery was replaced, and the velocity and aftertouch sensitive keyboard was completely disassembled, meticulously cleaned, and refitted with brand-new rubber contacts. All connections tested and given a clean bill of health for many years of music creation!
