PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for an Earthquaker Devices Cloven Hoof Inverse Black CME Exclusive Fuzz Pedal. The EarthQuaker Devices Cloven Hoof Inverse Black is a discontinued, limited-edition variant of the popular Cloven Hoof fuzz pedal, manufactured in an exclusive "Inverse Black" colorway specifically for Chicago Music Exchange (CME). While the standard Cloven Hoof is known for its grey enclosure and red graphic, the CME Exclusive version reverses the aesthetic for a sleek, dark look while retaining the exact same high-gain, silicon-driven circuitry.

SPECS:

• The pedal is a heavily modified, aggressive extension of EQD’s flagship, Green-Russian-Muff-style pedal, the Hoof.
• Silicon Signal Path: It swaps out the original Hoof’s hybrid germanium/silicon setup for four specially selected silicon transistors. This provides cleaner cleans, enhanced temperature stability, and a significantly grittier, high-gain punch.
• Quadruple the Gain: The gain stage features four times the sweep range of a standard Hoof. It goes from a relatively clean overdrive up to an ultra-saturated, biting "fuzz fury".
• Enhanced Low-End: The bass response is significantly widened and re-voiced, yielding a crushing bottom end. It makes the pedal a massive favorite for down-tuned guitars and bass players.
• Vintage Filtering: To tame the harshness of high-gain silicon, EQD utilized New Old Stock (NOS) Carbon Comp resistors to retain a smooth, harmonically rich vintage flavor.
• Fuzz: Controls the amount of saturation and sustain. The upper quarter of the dial introduces an intense, spitting, and sparkling wall-of-sound texture.
• Tone: A refined take on the classic Big Muff tone control. Turning it left cuts highs and boosts bass; turning it right opens up the treble response.
• Shift: Adjusts the mid-range content. Turning it clockwise scoops the mids for classic doom/grunge tones, while turning it counterclockwise boosts the mids to cut directly through dense live mixes.
• Level: Controls the overall output volume. The pedal possesses a metric ton of output on tap, easily pushing the front end of an amplifier into natural distortion
